HORIZONT Foundation
At the end of 2006 the shareholders and management of the German specialist information publisher Deutscher Fachverlag (dfv) founded the HORIZONT Foundation, on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the publishing company. The foundation bears the name of the weekly publication for marketing, advertising and media published by the dfv.
The aim of the HORIZONT Foundation is the advancement of education and further training of young talent and also of the science and research of the communication, media and advertising industries in the areas of marketing, media, creation and new media.
To this end the foundation revenue will be distributed in the form of sponsorship awards, stipends and research grants, whose allocation will be carried out annually within the scope of the HORIZONT Award.
The Trust board, made up of representatives from agencies, media, businesses and organizations, will decide on the amount and purpose of the prize money.
